In the last few days in the Twin Cities, ICE has abducted parents and left their kids just sitting there, alone, unassisted and unattended, in not one but _two_ separate incidents. These scenes would have been unimaginable to me a year ago. I wish they had remained unimaginable. I wonder how Minnesota will respond now. As I write this, the story that has top billing on the Star Tribune's web site is “it snowed again.”

Here’s a condensed version of a letter I sent to the Star Tribune last week.
I know that the editorial staff was considering publishing it, because they contacted me about it. Ultimately, however, they opted not to.
