Going into digital forensics with a math degree was a minor shock. People just say "the exe ran at 9:21 AM" like it's certain. Sure it might be unlikely to be forged, but we're not even in the same ballpark as certain!
Or when people say "It's science!" Oh no! Science is reproducing, testing. It can say A causes B, but not whether A caused *this* B. Telling "what happened" in any field isn't science. You can't go back and test it again. Anyway, maybe this will be useful:

Thought of this reviewing my old payload to write hard drive sectors with dd images from memory. Every file timestamp was from the image. Analyze all you want, none of it ever happened.
