front of the chapel some stairs lead up to it adorned with fresh flower pots and I'm not sure if you can see that but also rows of little crosses handmade from sticks

   I came upon this small chapel in the woods, just above a well. Supposedly the spring water heals blindness and childlessness among other ailments. And sure enough some people came by to fill up crates of water bottles. And I thought about the excellent, well tested drinking water supply we enjoy in Germany, practically for free. And yet people will go to some rusty pipe in the woods to get magical water.
