   She was a good lass.

   Born the 33’d week of 2008, she lived 17 years. (That’s 119 in dog years.)

   While nothing can replace her in my heart, I picked up a new tank. Have to wait until Tuesday to install it (full port drain ball valve is in the mail).

   If it is any consolation, I will treat the new one better than the previous owners treated you. I will replace the anode rod biannually and drain it semi-annually.

   Goodbye, old friend. You lived a long, hot-water fulfilling life.
