A notebook lies open on a salmon pink desk mat (which needs a scrub.) Each side of the notebook has a terracotta-colored pen loop. A clicky My Melody pen sits above it. On the left hand page of the notebook is a small watercolor painting of the open notebook. On the left page of the small watercolor painting of the open notebook is a tiny tiny sketch of the open notebook. Obviously.

I decided, for the sake of my mental health, to start a notebook to document at least one moment of - joy? goodness? not-despair? - each day. It arrived today. A6 Hobonichi.
The only not-despair thing I could think of to document today was the arrival of the notebook.
