   @mirabilos @mxfraud @zwol I mean, even the most basic a.out C program, even with no stdlib requirement, still requires runtime support. Even putting aside the loader and linker, C binaries still expect to have a stack prepared for them and for basic calling conventions in jumping to the start address.

   An ELF loader like ld-linux.so is often called an interpreter. There's still a lot of runtime adjustment of the binary taking place.
