   @nerthos @luckytran @Leyonhjelm @sun @lispi314 to add to this uncontroversial thread, i recently learned that the base rates of HIV infection are so different that it's less likely that a straight guy with a positive tests has HIV than a gay guy without any test, and the risk of a gay guy having HIV with a negative test is about the same as a straight guy without any test.
