   The US has again vetoed a UN Security Council ceasefire resolution for Gaza - the 5th time since 2023

   All other members voted for it.

   "Had it been adopted, the draft would have demanded “an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza” to be respected by all parties."

   Note that the UN General Assembly can invoke the "Unifying for Peace" mechanism, but won't:
