Totally normal day here: my computer display is now installed on top of a big logic analyzer box and in front of that is the sun keyboard and mouse for the ultra 5. On the right side of the desk, a big pile of stuff I had to move out to make space for all this. The display is showing Solaris CDE desktop

Replaced the drive. My Solaris 8 install CD (which is a very old CDR) is unhappy. But I could boot a Solaris 2.5.1 one! That allows me to mount the ide hard disk and remove the root password. And I'm in!
