Yesterday, there was a HUGE surprise that occurred in the pottery studio. A fellow potter's pot that she made the previous day had a little seedling growing from the inside wall. She didn't plant it there--it just happened. She was using reclaimed clay, and all sorts of things fall into it--apparently including little airborne seeds. She carved some leaves into the outside of her pot (it will become a coffee mug) to commemorate the brave little seedling. (photos attached)
