   this is a pretty dumb take. students are not just cheating their way through art appreciation and african basket weaving and then working hard on math, physics, and engineering classes. cheaters cheat on everything
   
   you could pare away all the liberal arts classes and STEM students would still cheat their asses off. the fact that the goal is to get a job does not excuse cheating your way through an engineering program because you decided it's dumb to have to actually learn engineering
   
   most of the blatant cheating I saw in college was in the hard courses, not english 101
