This photo is towards the end of grand entry on Day 1. There are so many dancers in the coliseum that the floor can no longer be seen. The dancers are wearing regalia that represented not only the dance they were going to compete in, but also their families and tribal affiliations. You really cannot make out too much individualization among the mass of people on the floor. Needless to say there are tons of feather, beads, sequins and fringes being worn. There has to be thousands of dancers on the floor.

The grand entry took 20 minutes! As they approached the end, there were so many dancers that the floor of the coliseum could no longer be seen. This was the first day and the drummers/singers were in competition. They were lined up on the two sides. On the second day the drummers were in the middle and by the time the dancers entered, they could no longer be seen. This photo is from day 1 at the end of entry. 3/5
