   It's a direct answer to your question that includes answers to the follow-up questions you'd logically ask next.

   Tl;dr is: Writers *inside* the company were eliminated. That's outsourced now. The developer of the video game did a total 180 and said they would be bulldozing anything in conflict with TV Show, and that they would be replacing it with, you guessed it, TV Shoe's lore. They also said they would ensure everything is consistent and that there would be no deviation from this point forward.

   So these things are not separated. Nobody has the option of deviating. It's not an option. If someone deviates they would likely be replaced with someone who will.
