A blue sign with white lettering that says "poisonous snakes and insects inhabit the area" below that is a white silhouette of a scorpion and another of a coiled rattlesnake. For people who might be wondering what I am talking about, scorpions are not insects. They are arthropods, as anre insects, but taxonomically closer to spiders. Rattlesnakes are venomous, not poisonous. You can safely cook and eat a rattlesnake without being poisoned. Boiling a scorpion, should you want to eat one, deactivates the venom in the stinger so I'm sure you could eat them as well without being poisoned.
