   Trump is begging Putin to agree to a peace deal, and now even promising to lift the sanctions on Russia.

   The problem with that promise is, before the sanctions, the Russian oil exports to the US were just 4.2 percent of its total exports, while the Russian exports to Europe for instance were 56 percent — and Trump cannot lift the European sanctions.
