Today's Coffee Report:
Got up and ground up some Lavazza beans and brewed them in the French press. This time, I set the grinder to 80 clicks as a sort of middle ground. It seemed to work, as I didn't really get any bitterness or sourness.
But the brew still wasn't great. It had a nice body and mouthfeel, but the taste was dull—duller than I remember from these beans.
I'll have to keep fiddling with my brewing method. I might also break out the moka pot...this might wind up being a good moka pot type of bean. We'll see.
Anyway, I brewed up the usual 2 cups. Had with a toasted raisin bagel topped with ape oil and simian salt.
Later, at Special Boy Tea Tunes, I started off by brewing a cup of Twinings "Pomegranate & Raspberry" Herbal Tea in honor of the Pink Moon. For my second cup, I brewed up the traditional Special Boy Tea: Twinings "Honeybush, Mandarin & Orange" Herbal Tea. Was cozy.
And oh how sweet it is, my friends. All for now
