I don't hate that bots like this exist, but quitting because someone else didn't want to host 108 bots and then writing a screed about how fedi sucks is kind of an asshole maneuver. Aside from that, he's on here how long, and still calls fedi "Mastodon": it makes me think the guy wasn't ever really here.
   
   I don't know where you are but here are the next ten years of sunrises and sunsets in Los Angeles, per astro(1).
   
   "gkrellm Sun" is old-ish but still compiles and works: https://gkrellsun.sourceforge.net/ . It even draws the apogee; here's a screenshot. I think a slightly less spammy bot might do something cool like that. But I think it's better to have that kind of thing in the UI than a constant stream of messages.
   
   There's also "pom" in BSD games, but that's for the moon rather than the sun.
