   How does this tool of the state work?

   First, I want you completely divest yourself of any illusion that if you’ve followed the rules you’re safe. This ‘law’ is not about getting people to follow the rules. It is about enabling the state to kidnap you, hold you in detention and deport you at their whim.

   AT THEIR WHIM.

   And the precedent set by SCOTUS gives them the legal cover to do this.

   If you are not a US citizen, and you can get the fuck out, I’d do it very soon.
