   香港を離れてもう17年目になるけど、数字の14を見ると今でもぎゃー実死(サッセイ→広東語の14の発音サップセイに似ている。確実に命を落とすという意味)！縁起悪っ！となる。

   It’s been 17 years since I left Hong Kong, but whenever I see the number 14, I still think, ‘Oh no, baaaad luck!’ → In Cantonese, ‘14’ is pronounced ‘sap sei,’ which sounds like ‘sat sei,’ meaning an unavoidable death.
