   @gamingonlinux While I ympathize over the frustration, Fedora is a testing ground for new technologies. It's intentionally bleeding edge. If you're running Fedora you're signing up to beta test and should expect bugs.

   It would be different if a person were running an LTS release or even a stable short-term release, then stuff like this shouldn't get pushed through. But with Fedora it's in its nature.

   One of the HOA board members was snarky about code I was writing so I just quit writing that code and let the board know.

   We used to use Zoom. Then Zoom became Nazi AI sausage. So the board decided it didn't want to give our likenesses and words and emotions over to the Nazi AI sausage machine. I installed jitsi-meet on a PC and all went well for months.

   Then jitsi-meet began having problems, in part because prosody seems poorly maintained. Now prosody upgrades are not accepted by Ubuntu. That breaks jitsi-meet.

   Meanwhile, new board members replaced long-term members. That didn't help for continuity's sake. I'm the oldest-serving board member now.

   Anyway, I wrote a Zoom replacement. It's crude and needs testing, but one board member repeatedly favored Zoom and did it again in a group email, asking to use Zoom if my new code had bugs.

   It will have bugs. It is for browsers. Browser design is insanely inconsistent between "brands." I hate coding for browser bullshit. I'm not going down that rabbit hole while getting incoming snark. This was supposed to be a favor. It clearly isn't anymore.

   No offense, fellow board members. I've had the interim chairman hat on for a couple of years now, and an interim maintenance liaison hat for almost 6. Nobody wants to replace me, I have begged, but they'll snark at work I do for the board's benefit.

   I didn't do it for me, snarky one.

   I have quit being the board's programmer. I am a hair's breath from quitting the board altogether. I'll sleep on that one, but I think I should.

   Oh, shoot. I missed most of After Midnight. Programming excitement had me in its grasp. I fixed bugs.

   It's After Midnight Mania next week. I think they make Taylor shoot hoops and the comedians rate them.
