   Globally it appears that carbon pollution increased by 1.2% while the major economies of the US and EU were able to pollute less CO2 while increasing their GDPs.

   Now that the fossil fuel industry is back in charge of US climate & energy policy it's more important for individual Americans to step up and decarbonize their lives as fast as they possibly can though.
