A German spy, a Japanese spy, and an Italian spy are all sitting in a Soviet prison awaiting interrogation. Guards enter, put handcuffs on the German, and lead him outside. The German exclaims, "Communist dogs! My noble German spirit will never break!" Of course, a couple of hours later he returns to the prison, having given up all his information. Then they put handcuffs on the Japanese spy. The Japanese says, "Foolish Russians, my resolve is strong because of my faith in the Emperor!" A couple of hours later, he also surrenders and gives up his information. Finally, they put handcuffs on the Italian, who says nothing. Many hours pass, and when the Italian returns to the prison, the other two are shocked to learn that he did not give up his secrets. When they ask how he managed to resist the interrogation, the Italian replies, "They tied my hands behind my back!"
