A view from a slight height across a Brandenburg town. Framed by barren trees on the left and right, a church steeple dominates the far center asking some roofs and much greenery. The skies are clear but the sun is a weak winter sun. A view I encountered while out on a walk today.

   Germany heads to national elections tomorrow - after an election campaign that systematically avoided facing Germany's structural problems but exhausted its energy in blaming others.

   Every vote for tolerance is a vote against hate. Every vote for compassion is a vote against nationalism. Every vote for nature is a vote for the future.

   I won't be able to comment quickly - I volunteered as an election helper. So I'll be busy counting votes while everybody else follows results and interviews.
