   and despite his own serious problem he still saw me immediately. The man was a saint.

   He did not know I had a drug that might benefit him, and I did not know he was ill. We just loved one another as much as any father and daughter might.

   So I explained the situation and the rest of the events of THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER followed.
