Of Glowtail: (By teacher Beck in Nordsteimke.) During New Year's Eve, the fiery dragon - also known as Glowtail - roams through the air. It carries all sorts of things with it - money, meat, and rubbish as well. Whoever sees the dragon pass overhead and then shouts: “Half Part!” will indeed get half of whatever the dragon carries. Many a rich man owes his money only to the dragon, which threw the treasure down his chimney. A farmer woman who lived in a village between Brunswick and Lehre once quickly became well-off and soon was rich. This had seemed suspicious to her farmhand for quite some time, and he thus decided to pay closer attention. And, indeed, during one midnight hour he saw Glowtail, who raced down into the chimney and visited the woman. He even witnessed how the dragon sang and jumped around with the woman. Source: Voges, T.
