A snowy forest scene. We look at the curve where two snow-covered hills meet. Bare winter tree trunks rise from the snow. We see a few small beech trees with golden leaves hanging on until spring. There's a snow-free line where the hills meet, where we see a thick layer of brown leaves. (In the rain, it becomes a stream.) Beside this, in the center of the image, we see a skinny, crooked tree, looking like it's struggling to stand erect. At its top it fans out into a sparse array of bunches of dark green leaves.
