   I went outside. I stayed for about an hour but got half the mileage I typically do.

   It was against my inner mom voice.
   I kept thinking if I die here someone will end up remarking how they thought I had better risk management skills.

   The snow is finally melting. In fact, there's very little relatively speaking, but what is there is packed, difficult to cross, and there is a lot of ice (example pics). My usual places are not cleared. Rare areas in direct sun over the last few days have melted to give way to deep mud.

   As I spent a lot of energy trying not to fall, I saw a few bucks running around in the woods and then saw this doe watching me.
