English has more words than Danish, so we Danes often adopt English words.
But Danish also has great words, that English lacks. For instance the long, clumsy description “the day after tomorrow” in Danish is called the “overtomorrow” (Danish: “overmorgen”). So you can literally say, “Aunt Jenny will arrive on overtomorrow” (Danish: “Tante Jenny ankommer i overmorgen”)
So yes, that American movie from 2004 could have had a much shorter title, if English adopted the word “overtomorrow”.
