A close up photo of the process of attaching a wide black linen lace onto the lower edge of a warm brown linen jacket. Each individual peak of the scalloped edge of the lace is sewn down with a tiny little stitch in black cotton embroidery thread. The sewing needle used is through and down one of the peaks, showing the absolutely minimal distance the stitch makes, roughly a millimetre or two. There is white tacking thread holding the unsewn bit in place, and the already sewn on upper edge, in process, and fully done lower edge, look very neat and tidy. The little stitches accentuate the peak of the scallop. The whole of the lace sits nice and taut, showing all the holes of the pattern better than if it was at all scrunched up. Sprinklings of fine wispy cat hair on everything. Pale fingers with silver rings holding onto the sewing, also.
