a 20 second video showing how to block the domain threads.net on an account level. First: I looked up threads.net. Then a list of Threads profiles showed up. I clicked on Zuck. On his profile page, next to the follow button, there are three grey dots. I clicked on them and a pulldown menu showed up. At the bottom of the menu there was the item: "block domain threads.net" - I clicked on it. It gave me the option of only blocking "Zuck" but I clicked on "block threads.net" instead, thus defederating my account from Threads

Routine reminder that if your Fediverse instance isn't blocking #Threads and you wish it did, well: you can still block it from your account.
I did a video demonstration here from my Mastodon account.
All you need to do is:
- look up @threads.net
- click on *any* Threads profile that shows up
- click on the three grey dots next to the "Follow" button
- select "block domain threads.net" at the bottom of the list
Voilà! Easy peasy.
