This (the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) is a triangle made of lasers, 2.5 million kilometers on each side. It will be going up in 2035. We (the species) will at that point have created THE LARGEST TRIANGLE IN THE UNIVERSE. The most perfect platonic form is not currently physically real, but we will have made it real. Why did we do this? SO WE CAN MEASURE VIBRATIONS IN THE FABRIC OF SPACE. That is eldrich horror shit! That is a typical Eldrich Horror Species Activity! @futurebird On the way to this conclusion, I spent some time thinking about a slightly different question: Things that are "Interesting" rather than "Weird". Conclusions:
