A small, chaotically growing succulent house plant with large oval leaves has started blooming with clusters of tiny red flowers. the main stem is broken but the plant is still alive and thriving

   the broken Kalanchoe stem was picked up earlier this summer during 'move out' week in August when the house plant was unceremoniously tossed to the curb. it had been a large full, plant but this was all I could salvage.

   I wasn't even sure if it would survive.

   This morning the bud clusters started blooming.
