I've spent so much time in this church over the years and absolutely adore this sculpture. For me it is Jesus pointing to heart and saying go within, listen to that voice in quietude, and follow it. In Integral yoga, this is also the psychic center, the abode of one's soul, tiny spark of the Divine in all of us. I love how all spiritual thoughts across cultures have this common golden thread of looking within for answers. In the photograph is the Sculpture of Jesus Christ pointing at his heart with one hand. There's a warm glow above His head coming from the ceiling lamp and a star shaped decoration hanging from that lamp. On His feet are a bunch of red daisies flower arrangement. It's from Our Lady of Angels Church at Dumas Street, Pondicherry.
