Looking sharply up, head and neck thrown back, through a sort of chimney of beautifully laid red and brown bricks, beautifully circular, with rectangular window panes in one section. Above, a big circular opening that seems to draw your eye and you up and through. Through the windows and opening: bright blue sky and some white clouds. You can’t see it from the photo, but we are standing inside Olafur Eliasson's architectural artwork Fjordenhus – the house on the fjord. It is on the water in Vejle Fjord, Denmark. Commissioned by Vejle Art Museum, it consists of four interconnected cylinders with a height of 28 meters. The brickwork and angles are gorgeous, both seen together and invdidually. Before I’m asked: No it is not sunny with cloudless blue sky in Denmark today, this is a photo I took a few Summers ago.
