   As part of their attack on Alaska state ferries, Republicans shut down the Columbia’s unironically 70s lounge some years back,claiming it was too costly (everyone knows bars are one of the only profitable businesses in Alaska)

   But you can’t keep a good lounge down & it has reopened with the same old grand piano, giant chess board, gold velvet wallpaper, & lightbulb ceilings (and sadly w/limited hours and canned cocktails)
