   I agree with you both Ian & Robin. If #Tumblr adds ads on inbound posts so we don't them on their outbound posts, that seems fair.
   
   At the same time, I respect the business model Aurynn uses on Island.nz to charge $6/month as it's a permanent connection to the Fediverse that won't go away the way Mastodon.technology & Cyber.space went away due to losing $$.
   
   I'm very excited ? about Tumblr joining ActivityPub because a rising tide raises all boats ?. The best way to attract more people & free content providers is to have more of an audience for them.
