   we slowly reach the point where "AI advocates" need to be added to list of what constitutes being a "climate change denier".

   AI leads to big data centers being build, which leads to massively higher power consumption, which means we get off carbon slower.

   And the "counter argument" is that the benefits of AI will offset any damage done by climate change, which is simply 1. wishful thinking and 2. untrue.

   It's just techbro culture at this point.
