Above the mantle, which is lined with green, white and red tartan oil cloth, there is a clock, red candles in turnip holders, Christmas cards, two red glass candles, and plenty of fresh holly. Above this is a wreath on the wall, with paper chain garlands hanging on either side. In the recesses above are two deer ornaments.
