A small bird is perched on top of an upside down maple sap bucket with a metal plate attached to it to hold some sunflower seeds. The bird has gray, black and white striped feathers on it tail and near its breast. But instead of the same coloring on the head, this chickadee has mainly white feathers and just a splotch of black under its beak and around its eyes.

This leucistic Chickadee first visited me last fall. It stayed through the winter and left when spring arrived. I didn’t think I’d see it again.
But the little friend is back! And it perched on the seed bucket long enough for me to get a few photos.
