Making Pixelfed available for Bluesky users, and for the rest of the fediverse to get a lot more content, would benefit everyone. Let's speedrun the XMPP-alike death of ActivityPub, sure. Let's sacrifice our freedom to corporate overlords all over again, because stuff like that worked out so well in the past. Nothing bad ever happened when projects began using a fundamental technology controlled by a VC-funded, profit-driven company.
In the end only a small userbase will remain vigilant while the majority gets fucked all over again. As always.
