Damian Duda, a #Poland volunteer medic in #Ukraine, has just posted an incredible story:
For 24 days, the Dnipro tourniquet was on the arm of a soldier of a rifle battalion of one of the ZSU brigades. The soldier was buried under rubble in the ruins of Volchansk. After 22 days, he managed to crawl out. He was spotted during aerial reconnaissance by drone and evacuated two days later by a reconnaissance group. There is not always a chance to save a limb after applying a tourniquet, but a well-placed tourniquet when needed saves lives. In addition to his strong will to live, this man is also characterised by his skills - he survived thanks to effective self-help. This is information for all soldiers: a medic will not always find you. Take care of yourself first. Train every day to the point of muscle memory.
