Mauve flower framed behind by grass. The inflorescence consists of a circle of larger cut petals surrounding a core of tubular florets, from which the styles and anthers emerge as tiny white tendrils. the flower is lit strongly from the right hand side by a low northern hemisphere autumn sun in mid afternoon.
