Water is washing up, covering the beach, reflecting the warm early morning colours of a sun rising to the right. Ahead are some folk walking in the water, some with surfboards, and we can see the huge rocks that mark the entrance to the bay on the San Francisco side and beyond we can see the rolling hills of the Marin headlands, on the other side of the entrance. The scene is muted in early morning mist and a few gulls are adding extra interest to the scene.
