Rocky Butte is a buried water tower on top of a butte in North Portland, Oregon. The small park on top is surrounded by a waist high rock wall, with periodic lamps on rock pillars. Here we have a view of far off Mt. Saint Helens, gleaming through the clouds with fresh snow, framed by the four lamp posts that surround a rock stairwell. The view above the wall and below the mountain includes some of North Portland, the Columbia River, the I-205 bridge over the Columbia River, and the foot hills of Vancouver, Washington.
