   * ult. about voters, not choices
   * U.S. society has profoundly changed
   * racism, misogyny, xenophobia, aggrievement

   In return for promise of 2 chickens in ev. pot/deporting millions of migrants,
   majority of voters looked other way on what used to be core American values

   Shrugged off the rule of law, freedom of press, democracy, basic civility
