   The Extreme Right lives in a fantasy world, that's full of artificial terrors -- things they just make up, to upset themselves.

   My parents often told a story of carrying me, as a very young child, into porn movies. And in one, I perked up and paid a lot of attention every time the prostitute's little dog barked.

   Yep; that's right: As a very young child in an adult porn theatre, my fixation was on the little doggie that barked, from time to time. ❤️

   @mmasnick has done the world a solid for devoting considerable time and effort transcribing Elmo's rambling comments that were indecipherable except for the repeated exhortations that people exercising their rights to free speech and association fuck themselves.

   My favorite section:

   @robin @aurynn Actually of a similar opinion. Injecting ads into outbound federation is a hard pass, but adding them into their own users' view as an alternative to asking people to donate every five minutes is...just another way to keep the lights on for themselves.

   My bet is they'd have an ad-free/paid tier too.

   Basically no different than e.g. Twiterriffic was in 2008, and I had no particular problem with that then.
