   honestly, nobody should ever say the words “he only makes $21K a month on Patreon” unless they are being sarcastic

   They should not say it even more about Eugen/Gargron/Mastodon’s lead developer, who makes nearly $30K a month from Patreon alone in addition to the funding from the 53 corporate sponsors listed on the official Mastodon website AND being employed full-time by a German research university to develop Mastodon
