A photo taken of the front yard of a historic home here in Toronto. It was taken from the side so you can see a row of bushes growing in a straight line. The bottom halves of the bushes are still green, but the top halves have begun changing colour and are a lovely shade of red. These bushes need to be trimmed, so their red leaves are on branches that are sticking up unevenly and a little wildly. On the right side of the photo you can see the trunk of a maple tree. It’s large branches are hanging over and partially shading the bushes. Their leaves, too, are beginning to turn red. This was taken from an angle that also shows strong sunlight streaming down on the yard, so everything is glowing slightly in the sun as its rays pick up all sorts of colours in the leaves that one might not otherwise notice.
