LASCO C3 coronograph images looking towards the sun which is blocked by a black circle. The solar wind can be seen as streams and several coronal mass ejections happen during the sequence, throwing thin whisps of material away fro the sun. Comet ATLAS moves into the frame from and moves in a diagonal towards the top left. More of it's bright dusty tail gets visible as the timelapse progresses. Towards the end, a flare happens on the sun and the associated radiation storm creates lots of cosmic ray hits on the image sensor, showing up as bright dots and streaks.

This is Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) passing by the sun while she fires off one CME after the other.
Mercury also makes an appearance on the left.
These images were taken by the LASCO C3 coronagraph on board the
ESA / NASA / SOHO spacecraft.
