    The #Nobel prize in #physics went to the seminal work on neural networks.

    The Nobel prize in #chemistry went to the application of AI to predict proteins folding.

    I guess that the Fields medal may go to some kid who asked ChatGPT to prove Riemann’s hypothesis.

    We as computer scientists may not have our own Nobel prize category, but we’re apparently learning how to take over the others.

    It shows just how important software has become in solving pure science problems.
